Kurt Schütte received PhDs in Biomedical Sciences (KU Leuven) and Sports Science (Stellenbosch University), after working as a physical therapist in South Africa (MSc, Biokinetics). His main area of research expertise is at the intersection of sports biomechanics, footwear biomechanics, running gait analysis, and wearable technology. He has published, presented and reviewed scientific papers for several international journals on these topics. His teaching philosophy is to marry clinical reasoning with technology and to merge theory with hands-on practical application. His experience as a teacher comes from lecturing in sports biomechanics and technology for sports rehabilitation at KU Leuven and Stellenbosch University.
